I started my formal career as a realtor and developer when I was 19 years old (although my informal training started at a very young age with my father). I recieved my real estate certification through UBC Sauder at 19 and at the same time was studying and recieved an engineering degree at UBC (BASC). I was able to do well in both regards and still was able to handle several single family and mid scale projects throughout the Lower Mainland (both on the construction and real estate end of things). My strong organizational background, work ethic and early introduction to both industries vastly helped me manage all aspects.
I was introduced very early into real estate and development as a young child. My father heavily influenced my knowledge base in the industry as he was a realtor for 19 years and has been in construction for 25 years. He passed on all his knowledge about both industries. For those who know my father, they can attest to his loyalty, honesty, determination and hardwork. I strive to keep the family tradition and hold the same values when dealing with clients, colleagues, co-workers and friends.
I have an extensive background in land development as we have completed several projects through my company, Casa Mia Projects Ltd. I have managed and completed several projects of varying scale. I have worked closely with City officials and consultants to complete and obtain rezonings, subdivisions, development permits, building permits and stratifications. I have also negotiated land consolidation deals with the City and Parks department to sell them additional land to expand their parks (most recently in Richmond, to expand South Arm Park and Community Centre). Along with land development, I have solely marketed and sold out several townhouse projects and single family homes.
